Evoke Flooring Warranty

As with any floor covering product, you have to read the full product warranty, to get a true understanding of what is covered in the product warranty, and what is not covered in the warranty.

Product manufacturers use product displays and sample labels as a means to promote and market products. Every manufacturer develops fancy names to talk about waterproof warranties, scratch resistant warranties and product durability claims. Customers can't rely on the sample information to evaluate a warranty. In the case of Evoke Flooring, you can download their product warranty here:

Evoke Flooring comes with a "limited lifetime warranty." But, what exactly does that mean?

Limited Lifetime Residential Warranty: When installed in a residential application, Evoke warrants that the decorative surface on Evoke SPC/WPC floors will not fade, stain or wear through under normal residential traffic conditions and use. Evoke Product Warranty

The warranty further states:

Scratches, indentations, marks, stains or other damage caused by negligent or accidental exposure to pebbles, grit, sand or other abrasives, pets, insects, high heeled or cleated shoes, fire, product spills, excessive moisture, heat or dryness are not considered normal wear and are not covered by this warranty. Evoke Warranty

The point here is: customers need to look past the marketing terms on product samples, and look at the full product warranty, in order to get a clear understanding of a warranty.

Evoke Flooring is not the only company that has this type of language in their warranty. It is common practice in almost all warranty documents.

Evoke Flooring - FAQ

How do you clean an Evoke Floor?

Sweep or vacuum the floor regularly to keep it clean and free of dust, sand and other abrasive materials. • Place area rugs or doormats at entryways to help prevent sand, grit, oils, dirt and other abrasive materials from being tracked onto the floor surface from outdoors. • Place protective mats at high-use work areas such as sinks, ranges, service counters and workstations. • Your new SPC/WPC flooring is not affected by water but it is always a good idea to wipe up any moisture on the floor quickly so that it does not work its way into any other areas where it may cause damage or cause a slipping hazard. • Ensure that environmental conditions are maintained with a temperature range of 65-85°F (18-30°C) and humidity at 30-50% at all times. Problems resulting from exposure to improper environmental conditions are not covered by the product warranty. • If the floor is installed over a radiant heating system, never allow the surface temperature of the floor to exceed 82°F (28°C). Avoid dramatic temperature changes; always adjust the system gradually in 5° increments. It is recommended that a dedicated quick recovery thermostat be installed to allow the temperature of the radiant heating system to be accurately controlled. • Put felt protector pads on the feet of all furniture, display stands, file cabinets and other accessories that will be placed directly onto the floor surface. Inspect regularly for wear and tear, and replace as necessary. • Avoid letting sharp or pointed objects come into contact with the floor surface. • In areas where direct or extreme sunlight occurs use window coverings or drapes to avoid overheating the flooring and prevent fading. Conclusion - Evoke Flooring Review

We have given Evoke Flooring a rating of 3 1/2 stars. The vinyl composition core product line is a very aggressively priced and good product. It looks wonderful once installed, and with the click together installation system, customers are enjoying this product in any room of the home. All of the products come with an attached pad, which is certainly an added benefit.

While the colors in the product line are crisp and clean looking, there is not much variety. This product might also be difficult to find, as it is sold by a floor covering distributor, not a manufacturer. Many installers and stores will be unfamiliar with this product.

Overall, we like the product. For those customers looking for a quality, wood looking plank, that is sold at a very reasonable price, Evoke Flooring would be a good place to start the shopping process.
